Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC)
As an After-School program for children ages 6-12, we do not qualify for the Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) $10-A-Day agreement.
As such, regular monthly fees apply, which are set annually in January by the Board of Directors.
Fee Subsidies
Subsidized spaces are available through the City of Toronto to help support the cost of licensed childcare programs like ours. There is a waitlist, so apply as soon as possible! More information can be found here.
The CARE Board of Directors has approved a 3% fee adjustment for 2026.
Effective January 1, 2026, the monthly After-School CARE fee will be $643 per child
(previously $624).
This adjustment supports pay equity, cost-of-living needs, rising insurance costs, and other essential program expenses that help us maintain a safe, high-quality program.
All full-day programming, including P.A. Days, March Break, and part of the December break.
CARE is closed between December 24 and New Year’s Day; exact dates vary each year. Please see our operating dates for details.
Regular after-school programming from September to June.
Note: Trip costs are not included in the monthly fee and are billed separately.
Program Fees & Payment Information
Fees are charged for all program days from September to June, regardless of a child's attendance.
This includes absences due to illness, vacation, or when CARE closes because of weather or emergency situations.
Fees are not prorated under any circumstances.
Refunds or credits are not issued for missed days.
Fees are set by the Executive Parent Board of Directors and reviewed annually.
Any approved fee adjustments typically take effect each January.
Childcare fees are due on the first of each month.
Payments must be made via e-transfer to: trinitycareprogram@gmail.com
A one-time, non-refundable registration fee is required at the time of enrollment.
Families are responsible for ensuring that payments are made on time.
Base and Non-Base Fees
Base Fee: This is the standard monthly fee that covers your child’s spot in the program for child care services provided. This monthly fee is paid on the first of each month for the school year, from September to June (no fees are charged in July and August).
Non-Base Fees: These fees cover additional costs outside the standard program for extra services or activities (e.g., special events or field trips). These fees will be clearly communicated to you in advance and billed separately from the base fee (your monthly fee).
Examples of non-base fees include:
CARE’s non-refundable registration fee, which is 50% of your monthly fee and is due upon enrollment. This fee covers the administrative costs for processing enrollment, preparing materials, setting up the program, and covering staff hours outside of their regular duties to complete these tasks. It is non-refundable, as it goes toward these upfront costs. The fee is set by the program and cannot be waived, refunded, or altered under any circumstances.
As a part-time program, any work done outside of staff's regular (part-time) hours, including enrollment processing, setup, and planning, is included in these costs.
Charges for all field trip admissions or special activities (such as those that occur on P.A. Days or during March Break). Participation in field trips is optional.
Any other optional services or extra costs, such as meals/snacks or supplies for specific events.
Refunds and Credits
No Refunds: There are no refunds or credits for absences, illness, vacations, unexpected centre closures, or withdrawals from the program.
Billing Errors: If there is an overpayment or billing mistake, we will issue a refund or credit.
Special Circumstances: In exceptional cases, parents may contact the Board of Directors to request a review. The Board will determine if a refund or credit is appropriate based on the situation. Emails can be sent to trinitycareprogram@gmail.com to the attention of the “Board of Directors”
Tax Receipts
Tax receipts will be provided in February. A fee of $30 will apply for any duplicate receipts requested.
Unpaid Fees
If fees are not paid on time, childcare services may be suspended or terminated.
Fee Adjustments
The Executive Parent Board of Directors reviews fees annually. Any changes will take effect in January of each year.
Special Circumstances
In exceptional circumstances, parents may contact the Board of Directors by email to present their situation. The Board will review the case and determine whether a refund or credit can be issued.
